How long will it take to receive my custom order?

5+ weeks, depending on how busy I am and the time of year. I will always give you an ETA when you enquire or place your order.

Why does it take weeks to make a custom ceramic animal ?

Each piece is handmade from earthenware clay which needs to go through several processes before completion. Once they are initially sculpted, waited 24 hours and then painted with underglaze, they need to dry for a week until they can then go off to the kiln to be bisque fired. Once fired, they will then get picked up and I’ll coat them with clear glaze and then drop them back to the kiln for their glaze firing. I am at the mercy of the local kiln services and sometimes they have the pieces for a couple weeks at a time. If you require postage then that will take an extra few days to weeks depending on where you are located.
